Introduction
3-[N,N-dimethyl-[2-(2-methylpropyl-2-enoyloxy) ethyl] ammonium] propane -1-sulfonate, namely betaine sulfonate Methacrylate (SBMA), is a betaine-type zwitterionic compound. It has a sulfonic acid group anion and quaternary ammonium salt cation, and its net charge is zero, so it has strong water solubility and has a mild effect on enzyme molecules; compared with betaine, SBMA has an extra carbon-carbon double bond, so it can be polymerized. Therefore, it can be used to regulate the conformation and stability of the enzyme.
Preparation
After mixing 0.05mol of 1,3-propane sulfonolactone and 10g of acetonitrile evenly, adding to the mixture of 0.05mol of dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate and 10g of acetonitrile, stirring at 25 ℃ for 12h, and then standing for 36h, the obtained white precipitate is repeatedly filtered with acetonitrile and acetone, centrifuged and rinsed to obtain 3-[N,N-dimethyl-[2-(2-methylprop-2-enoyloxy) ethyl] ammonium] propane -1-sulfonate.
